Justice play roof-raising set at Reading Festival

French duo sees crowd queuing in the rain to catch their set

Justice play roof-raising set at Reading Festival

Justice played to a capacity crowd on the NME/Radio 1 Stage tonight (August 23) at Reading Festival.

Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay appeared onstage after a minor delay to rapturous applause from the crowd. Despite it raining, many people watched the set from outside the tent.

Flanked either side by a huge stack of Marshall Amplifiers, and with their traditional cross placed underneath them, the French duo launched straight into 'Genesis' from 2007 album 'Cross'.

At one point, Auge and de Rosnay saluted the crowd in unison, causing a flurry of glowsticks to be thrown skywards towards them.

Although the band played the likes of fan-favourites 'Waters Of Nazareth' and 'The Party', the biggest cheers of the set were reserved for 'D.A.N.C.E' and their remix of Simian's 'Never Be Alone', retitled 'We Are Your Friends', both of which saw mass sing-a-longs from the crowd.
