Justin Bieber has passed the 11 million follower mark on Twitter.
The irritating teen singer, who tweets from Twitter.com/justinbieber, thanked his "Beliebers" after reaching the milestone last night (July 13).
"I LOVE YOU ALL!! THANK YOU....tonight was already a fun great night and now it is even better. THANK U THANK U THANK U," he wrote.
Bieber is still trailing behind the most followed Twitter user Lady Gaga, who has over 600,000 more followers than him on her page, Twitter.com/ladygaga.
However, the 17-year-old can console himself with the fact he has almost two million more followers than his nearest Twitter rival, US president Barack Obama.
Earlier this week, Bieber's social media status was eclipsed by his girlfriend Selena Gomez, who stormed to the top of the Social 50 Chart.
The chart ranks active artists on sites such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
Until this week only four acts had ever topped the new chart - Rihanna, The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga and Bieber.
