A $9 million (£5.8 million) lawsuit against Justin Bieber for allegedly damaging a woman's hearing has been dropped.

Last summer NME reported the story about the woman, whose name is Stacey Betts, who accused the 'Baby' singer of giving her "ear damage" after she attended one of his concerts with her daughter.

In the lawsuit, Betts complained that the "heart-shaped aluminum/steel gondola" that lifted Bieber above the audience "created a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena". As a result, she claimed the "sound blast" left her with tinnitus and permanently damaged hearing.

She also claimed that the pint-sized popstar made things worse by "enticing the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion".

Now, according to TMZ, she has filed for the case to be a dropped as she could not find a lawyer and moving the case forward on her on was proving difficult. However, she reportedly stands by her claims.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Bieber's former bodyguard was suing the singer for allegedly lashing out at him. Moshe Benabou's lawsuit against the Canadian singer seeks an unspecified amount in damages for the assault accusations and more than $420,000 (£260,000) in lost overtime and other wages, which he claims was owed to him.
