Justin Bieber is currently being investigated by police after an alleged battery claim.

Bieber's neighbour in Calabasas, California has alleged that the pop singer was involved in a verbal altercation outside his house, which then became physical.

TMZ reports that the argument took place this morning (March 26) and concerned a Ferrari which Bieber had delivered to his house last night.

The neighbour was apparently concerned about the noise due to Bieber driving the car around his neighbourhood this morning, and also about the safety of residents. He took up the matter with Bieber and that's when the alleged argument began.

The neighbour has filed a battery report, stating that Bieber came into physical contact with him. However, sources have told TMZ that Bieber ordered the man to get off his property, but that he did not have any physical contact with him. The Los Angeles Police Department are currently investigating the case.

Justin Bieber recently posted a note on Instagram, saying he doesn't deserve all the negative press he's been getting. Bieber wrote: "Everyone in my team has been telling me, 'keep the press happy' but I'm tired of all the countless lies in the press right now."

He added: "And don't think I deserve all this negative press I've worked my ass off to get where I am and my hard work doesn't stop here... All this isn't easy. I get angry sometimes. I'm human. I'm gonna make mistakes. In gonna grow and get better from them. But all the love from you guys overcomes the negativity. I love u. Thanks."
