I DON'T WANNA LIONROCK, DJ!

Yep, NME.COM can exclusively reveal there are more strings to the Lionrock man's bow...

JUSTIN ROBERTSON has been talking exclusively to NME.COM about his first full-length artist album since 1998's LIONROCK album 'CITY DELIRIOUS' - and will even be singing on a couple of tracks.

Speaking from his studio, Robertson revealed that the project would be substantially different from both his Lionrock material, and his stomping, tech-house tinged DJ sets.

"It's got a few love songs," he confessed, before adding that the sound of the record had a "panaromic, very filmy, soundtrack feel to it."

The album will also be predominantly vocal-based, Robertson revealed, including a couple of tracks adorned with his own vocals. "I am singing on a couple of tracks," he confessed," but I'm making sure that the voice is heavily treated!"

Robertson added the project is still without a name, but would most likely have the prefix of "Justin Robertson presents", and that the album will be finished "within two weeks". The album then looks likely to be released through Nuphonic in June.

According to the dance website www.burnitblue.com, Robertson has also recorded a track to be the first release on the new label from uber-cool club promoters Bugged Out! Described by Bugged Out! man Paul Benney as a "proggy techno thing", the release will cement Robertson's long-term residency at the club.
