Justin Timberlake plays intimate London show
*N Sync survivor brings 'sexy' back to Britain
Bringing his international club tour to London Hammersmith Palais, future-pop’s boy wonder debuted five brand-new songs from forthcoming album 'FutureSex/LoveSounds'.
played 'My Love', 'Until The End Of Time', 'Love Stoned', 'What Goes Around' and new single 'SexyBack' for the lucky few fans who snapped up tickets for the comeback show within minutes.
Dressed in a white shirt and black waistcoat, the singer was joined onstage by super-producer Timbaland in a show that saw him play both piano and guitar alongside a full-scale live band.
Yet the show was not without controversy. For opening track 'Cry Me A River' - widely assumed to be written about ex-girlfriend Britney Spears - the former N Sync singer interspersed the chorus line from classic 'You’re So Vain': “I bet you think this song is about you.”
But that was not the night's only tribute. Smash hit 'Like I Love You' ended with a jam of the riff to Nirvana’s 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' while 'SexyBack' was led in with a verse of Eurythmics' 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)'.
