Plus he's planning 80s collaboration

Justin Timberlake has hit the top of the Billboard album chart in the US with his new record ’FutureSex/LoveSounds’.

It is his first solo album to top the chart after his debut, 2002's ’Justified’, peaked at Number Two.

Meanwhile, Duran Duran have spoken out about the rumours that is set to collaborate with their band.

Posting on Myspace.com/duranduran, the band stated:

“Since there has been some speculation about Justin Timberlake working with Duran Duran in the media, we can confirm that ever since presented the band with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Brits they have all expressed an interest in working together. To that end, some of the band members met up with Justin recently in New York to discuss a possible collaboration.”

There is no word yet on whether a possible collaboration will be a recording or live project, and when anything is likely to appear.
