On star studded video

Justin Timberlake has written with the concept for the new Johnny Cash video.

The video for the song 'God's Gonna Cut You Down' features U2's Bono, Kanye West, ,Iggy Pop, Coldplay Chris Martin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers Anthony Kiedis and Flea, Evanescence's Amy Lee (+44)'s Travis Barker, The Rolling Stones Keith Richards and Kate Moss.

Speaking about the video, producer Rick Rubin - who has worked with both Cash and Timberlake said : “We were in the studio and we took a break to listen to the new Johnny Cash album ('American V : A Hundred Highways') which was not yet released at that point. And when we got to that song, (Justin) said, 'Stop!'”

Rubin told MTV that Timberlake then laid out a plan for the video featuring a host of musicians dressed in Cash's signature black.

The video was directed by Tony Kaye who worked on Red Hot Chilli Peppers 'Dani California'
