Justin Timberlake reunites with 'N Sync during MTV VMAs performance
Justin Timberlake reunited with his former band 'N Sync during his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in New York last night (August 25).

After beginning his 15-minute greatest hits medley with snippets of singles 'Take Back The Night', 'SexyBack', 'Like I Love You', 'My Love', 'Cry Me A River', 'Señiorita' and 'Rock Your Body', the lights went down at New York's Barclays Center and Timberlake told the crowd: "You asked for it..."

He was then joined on stage by JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone for snippets of 'N Sync hits 'Pop', 'Girlfriend' and 'Bye Bye Bye' before his bandmates exited the stage and Timberlake rounded off his medley with recent hits 'Suit & Tie' and 'Mirrors'.

Timberlake's reunion with 'N Sync had been rumoured in the week leading up to the VMAs and the band fuelled the fire by joining Twitter on Friday (24). Following their performance, the band took to Twitter to share a backstage photo with fans.

'N Sync last performed as a band at a charity event in 2004 and their third and final studio album, 'Celebrity', came out in 2001. Since then, Timberlake has gone on to become one of the world's biggest male solo artists.

The singer took home the biggest "Moonman" prize at last night's VMAs, the Video of the Year award, as well as Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which he pledged to share with his former bandmates. 'Half of the Moonmen I've ever won, I won with those four guys right there," he said, pointing to his bandmates. "I'm going to share this with them."
