Kaiser Chiefs and Belle And Sebastian sign up for ‘Help: A Day In The Life’ Kaiser Chiefs Tickets

The Go! Team and Damien Rice will also record brand new material for the charity album…

Kaiser Chiefs, BELLE AND SEBASTIAN, THE GO! TEAM and DAMIEN RICE have all been confirmed for the upcoming ’HELP: A DAY IN THE LIFE’ album.

The bands will record brand new tracks on September 8 for the LP, which will be available as a download the following day (9), making it the fastest album ever released.

As previously reported, other acts set to work on the project include The Magic Numbers, Radiohead, Hard-Fi, Gorillaz, Paul McCartney, [/a], Elbow, Maximo Park and [a], amongst others.

‘Help: A Day In The Life’ will see bands take just one day to record a new piece of music, which War Child will make available on warchildmusic.com on September 9.


A physical CD release of the event will follow a few weeks later. It marks the tenth anniversary of the now legendary 1995 ‘Help’ album, which featured Noel Gallagher, Radiohead, [a][/a] and Blur.


Proceeds this time around will help children in war zones including Iraq, Afghanistan and The Congo.
