Kaiser Chiefs premiere new songs at T In The Park
The band continue their love affair with the Scots
The band, who wowed crowds last year – attracting almost half of the festival audience to their set – continued their good form at Kinross moving up to the main stage with a confident set.
“People say Scottish crowds are the best and then go to Prague and say Prague is best,” explained frontman Ricky Wilson, “ but really Scottish crowds are the best. I love playing here.”
Including crowd favourites like ’I Predict A Riot’ and ’Oh My God’, the Leeds group included three new songs in their set that are being considered for the second album.
Having played ’Heat Dies Down’ and ’Learnt My Lesson Well’ in their UK tour earlier this year, Kaiser Chiefs also gave a UK debut to song ’Everything Is Average Nowadays’ – only the second time they have played it live.
With headliners added that they hoped they had sated fans who missed the Californian's cock sock days.
“We didn’t wear socks on our cocks, I think that would have been too much for the audience,” joked Wilson, “but we were wearing socks - on our feet - in their honour.”
