Kaiser Chiefs celebrated the launch of their second album 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' with a listening party at Beauty Bar in New York last night (January 24).

Despite the sub zero temperatures, friends of the Kaisers came out in force to help the band celebrate, including fellow Northerners The Cribs, as well as Alex Kapranos and Bob Hardy of Franz Ferdinand and local indie heroes We Are Scientists.

The album is released on February 26, with a single, 'Ruby', preceding it on February 19.

The Cribs are currently in New York mixing their second album, (produced by friend Alex Kapranos), while as previously reported here, We Are Scientists are holed up in Brooklyn writing the follow up to ’With Love and Squalor’.

Following the party, The Cribs stopped by Club NME at Hiro ballroom, which featured performances by Brooklyn-based Irish act The Glass and Pagoda, the band fronted by ’Last Days’ actor Michael Pitt.
