Ricky Wilson tells NME.COM he's excited to play for US audiences

Kaiser Chiefs continue their NME Presents tour with a show tonight (April 10) in Boston.
As previously reported on NME.COM, the band kicked off the jaunt on Friday (April 6) in Philadelphia, where they wowed the all-ages crowd at Electric Factory.
Speaking to NME.COM, frontman Ricky Wilson revealed the band are looking forward to playing for crowds who are less familiar with their music than fans in the UK.
He said: “I’m excited because we’re used to putting tickets on sale in the UK and Europe and loads of people buy them who like the Kaiser Chiefs and bought the album. In America, we put tickets on sale, people buy them to come and see if we’re any good or not, and we’ve got to deliver. It’s a different kind of exciting because we’ve got a different job to do to win them over, rather than just kind of like ‘We’ve arrived’."
Wilson added he’s not feeling pressure to "break" America.
“We’re not thinking about it like ‘It’s America and we’ve got to break America’," he said. "I suppose it’s the same kind of feeling you get at festivals where you know that not everyone there has bought their ticket because they like the Kaiser Chiefs. Here people are probably just curious. They’ve heard that we’ve sold millions of records in the UK and they want to see why.”
