Kaiser Chiefs have been confirmed for the BBC Electric Proms.

The band are set to team up with Bjork collaborator and ’James Bond’ scorer David Arnold, who will reinterpret their songs on October 26.

Arnold said: “Hopefully under the umbrella of the Electric Proms we can throw away the rule book of what you can or can't do with a rock band and a bunch of musicians that you may not expect to seem on stage with them.”

Lily Allen is also set to perform with Mark Ronson on October 24. The singer will be a guest vocalist with the producer, who will perform aided by the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Also performing with Ronson will be The Specials legend Terry Hall, The Charlatans singer Tim Burgess, Candie Payne and hotly-tipped singer Santo Gold.

Also playing the festival on October 24 are Sigur Ros who will premiere new film 'Heima' at the nearby Cecil Sharp House and play an acoustic show.
