Kaiser Chiefs played a gig in the tiny Scottish village of Strathpeffer last night (May 19), in preparation for their show at Leeds United's Elland Road Stadium this Saturday (May 24).

The band performed at Strathpeffer Spa Pavilion, usually used for Scottish country dancing demonstrations, in front of a few hundred fans.

Drummer Nick Hodgson told BBC Scotland: "We needed warm-ups for the big gig - Elland Road - and it was suggested that why don't we go and play somewhere remote, where no one plays.

"We like doing things like that, so here we are. I've just been to the shops and it's a quiet place."

The Spa Pavilion saw its heyday in the 1960s, when bands such as Freddie And The Dreamers performed in the village.

Kaiser Chiefs are set to perform again at the Strathpeffer Spa Pavilion tonight (May 20), before playing Oban's Corran Halls on May 21.

They then play the home of Leeds United on May 24, supported by The Enemy, Kate Nash, Young Knives and Friendly Fires.

NME.COM will be there, bringing you live coverage from Kaiser Chiefs' massive homecoming gig, so make sure you're here on Saturday (24) for all the action.
