Kaiser Chiefs play Leeds homecoming today (May 24)

Kaiser Chiefs are set to kick off their massive Leeds homecoming today (May 24) - and you can follow all the action on NME.COM.

The band are playing Leeds United' Elland Road ground, and we will be bringing you news and pictures live from the stadium all day.

Gates for the massive gig open at 3pm (BST), with the music set to kick off around 4.30pm. Elland Road will then see performances from Friendly Fires, Young Knives, Kate Nash and The Enemy, before the Leeds five-piece take to the stage around 8.45pm.

The show is expected to be extra special for the bands and city, with Leeds United heading to Wembley Stadium in London to play in the League One Play-Off Final the following day (25).

saw them back in 2005, when they opened for the Foo Fighters and Weezer. top show, top band.
