This will (should) be an excellent listen. There will be people sniping and acting too cool saying that they are soooo commercial but like them or love this group they deliver!! Im not from Leeds by the way.

Anything Mark Ronson touches turns to shit. I really don't see how people think he's good when his main job is to tell people to play other peoples songs then play some guitar over the top. He is a talentless twat.

Can't wait. :) :) :)

=D cant wait!!! And I think you'll find Ronsons main job is a producer. He produced Amy Winehouse and Lilly Allen's albums before he realised his (not so good) one

Kaiser Chiefs have made great music without 'special guests' before. This could either go the way of Ronson's albums or Paul Weller's '22 Dreams'. Let's hope it goes like the Modfather.

Golfman, its got nothing to do with them being commercial or not. Kaiser Chiefs are just plain shit. Always have been and always will be. Mark Ronson is a cunt too.

There will probably be a trumpet on the album somewhere

proclaiming themselves as the new oasis, not like this fella's....(as chrispaz says) leave the cheesey bandwagon alone...

Rubbersoul. the reason they are commercial is because everyone buys their records....its called becoming popular and when a band becomes popular alot of people stand back and like them from afar because they dont want to look uncool by liking a band thats on top of the pops.

i fully agree with Rubbersoul. kaiser chiefs are only liked by stupid middle aged, bored housewives that buy their album whilst shopping in asda cos they quite like the song 'Ruby' (which is a pile of shit) and Mark Ronson sticking his ferret face in another album. so expect a trumpet that sounds like a fart somewhere in the album.

Golfman, thats not entirely true. It certainly isn't in my case. I genuinely don't like Kaiser Chiefs. Its got nothing to do with not wanting to look uncool. I couldn't give a shit what people think about my music taste.

rubbersoul, we meet again hello! Kaiser Chiefs easily one of the best bands on the planet at the moment, absolutley world class band, and brilliant brilliant live, I simply can not wait for this! hopefully another tour as well. It's wierd mate because I noticed you said Kings Of Leon were one of the best bands on the planet, I'd probably say there the worst band, certainly on the scene at the moment. Kaiser Chiefs, just world class, I Predict A Riot, roll on October, just think about it Oasis, Keane and Kaiser Chiefs all releasing albums in the space of two weeks, you really don't know how happy I am :) Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing :)

Not to keen (excuse the pun) on Keane and Kaiser Cheifs but i'm definitely looking forward to the new Oasis album.

the week after Oasis. Pity Ricky didn't have the balls to back up his claims that the Kaisers have usurped Oasis as ''Britiains Greatest Band''. Still, an album to look forward to

rubbersoul7

Aug 6, 2008

I can't believe he claimed that they are Britian's greatest band! That is one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever heard! There are literally hundreds of superior British bands to Kaiser Chiefs. They will NEVER be anywhere near as good as Oasis.

Why is Peanut in the band? He's clearly just a mate of the band that wanted in. He does fuck all!

Golfman

Aug 6, 2008

Peanut plays the keyboard....what do you expect him to do wave it above his head and break dance? Get a grip.

rubbersoul7

Aug 6, 2008

I'd love it if he waved it above his head and break danced, at least he'd then be slightly interesting.

donkeypunch

Aug 6, 2008

i expect him to! he's got to do summat productive in his life. why does he call himself peanut anyway? it doesn't look or sound good.

KNOBS.... how can you all slag an Album that you haven't heard. Kaiser Chiefs are brilliant and their is no trumpets on the album as Ricky has said a thousand time. They never said they were the best British band ever. They just said they consider them selves equal or slightly better than Oasis ( Who i do actually like, before you slag me off about that.) I don't particularly like the idea of Mark Ronson producing the album but he is only co-producing with Eliot James who is a great producer. You should give it a go, Kaiser Chiefs are brilliant live and if you haven't heard there full Albums then you can't slag of Ruby which is defiantly not one of there best songs. Actually listen to their stuff before you make smart arsed comments. And finally Peanut (Nick Baines) is needed in the band he is the best Captain Clap keyboardist around and has just as much enthusiasm live As Ricky

"are only liked by stupid middle aged, bored housewives"I'm neither middle aged or a housewife and I like the kaiser chiefs. So theres your generalisation gone out of the window.

If you don't like Kaisers fine, no-ones making you. Personally I reckon they're a fantastic live band with a couple of really strong albums to back them up with. Unlike a lot of bands these days they actually have the songs. There's too many Arctic Monkey rip offs and bands that want to be like the Kooks (why anyone would want to sound like them anyway). As for usurping Oasis? Weren't Oasis usurped years ago as the best band in UK at the moment? Seriously, everyone raved about the last album they released as it wasn't as bad as they thought it'd be! It's hardly a basis to be considered the best British band of all time is it now?
