Kaiser Chiefs have had the seal of approval from Jay-Z, the band have claimed.

Drummer Nick Hodgson has revealed that the rapper responded positively to their new album 'Off With Their Heads', which is released today (October 20), after producer Mark Ronson played it to him during a tour.

He told XFM: "Mark played Jay-Z the album because he was on tour with him at some point. We got the Jay-Z seal of approval, which was nice."

Hodgson also revealed that the band have had an audience with the rapper. "Me and Peanut met him when we were mixing," he explained. "We've got certain Jay-Z connections. Mark is a magnet and a connector."

haha if this is indeed true then Jay Z is just jumping on a bandwagon. As soon as Kanye West expressed a love for indie music Jay Z started saying that he liked indie and I think he just heard about 10 seconds of never miss a beat and thought "oh I'll say like this and then I'll come off cool to the indie kids coz its the cool music at the moment" what he doesn't realize is that even the indie kids think Kaiser Chiefs are shit. He's gonna look such a fool when he finds that out.

Have you heard yourselfs? Do you think Kaiser Chiefs give a monkeys what you lot think, coming on here every day to slag them off. Their selling truck fulls of albums, playing sold out gigs and are on the radio all day and I for one fucking love em, one of the best new bands of the past years, you lot make me sick haha!
