Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson has revealed he snubbed the chance to be a judge on The Voice.

The singer admitted that he agonised over the offer to sit alongside Jessie J, will.i.am, and Tom Jones on the judging panel. But in the end he decided to turn it down.

He told the Daily Star:
I had an email conversation with the BBC about it, but it just didn’t feel right.

He added: "The reason to say yes to the offer is obvious – those huge viewing figures would have shifted us a lot of records. The musical landscape has changed a lot since our first single in 2004, and the way of the world now is if you’re on one of those big TV shows, you sell records.

"But if you’ve got that one bit of doubt, you should listen to that more than the 99% of you that's screaming: 'Do it'."

Noel Gallagher was previously offered a role on The X Factor last yearfor a reported £1 million, but he also turned the opportunity down.

Meanwhile, Kaiser Chiefs will release new singles collection 'Souvenir: The Singles 2004 – 2012' on June 4.
