Kanye West reportedly wants to record new music in hospital

Rapper has reportedly requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can make music in his bed.

Kanye West reportedly wants to record new music while he recovers in hospital.

The rapper was hospitalised last week when he was said to be suffering from “severe sleep deprivation”. According to reports, he refused to go to hospital voluntarily and had to be restrained for transport. Doctors diagnosed him with “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration”.

It has since been reported that he was due to be released this Monday (November 28), but was judged not to be stable yet. Now US Weekly claims to have been informed that the rapper is struggling to switch off while he recovers.

“Kanye keeps wanting to work. At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed,” an unnamed source told the publication. “And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines.”

The unnamed source added: “He continues to want to work and Kim has to keep telling him to rest.”

West’s hospitalisation came after a dramatic few weeks. He cancelled the remainder of his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour after a concert in Sacramento where he cut his set short after just 30 minutes. Before he left the stage, he aimed a lengthy tirade at Beyoncé, claiming that her husband and West’s former friend and collaborator Jay Z had the means to have him killed.

The ‘Gold Digger’ rap veteran also caused controversy and split opinion when he admitted he “would have voted for Donald Trump”.

Lady GagaPusha TJohn Legend and Chance The Rapper are among the stars who have sent their best wishes to West. Legend said he was “concerned” about the ‘Life of Pablo’ artist, while Chance sent “a very special prayer to my big brother, Kanye West”. Pusha T thanked West for the “endless opportunities you have brought to me”.
