The rapper says HBO show won't be a reality doc

Kanye West has confirmed details of his forthcoming TV show.

As previously reported, the as-yet-untitled programme is being developed by American cable television network HBO and will be directed by ’Curb Your Enthusiasm’ and 'Seinfeld' collaborator Larry Charles. Producer Rick Rubin will also be involved.

Discussing the show, West declared the project would not be reality-based as had been previously suggested.

“I wouldn’t do something as clichéd as a reality show," said West "At least give me the credit for being more creative than that... For the last couple of years, Larry, Rick and I have been developing this pilot. It’s a situational half-hour comedy. It’s fictional, and loosely based on my life.”

Meanwhile West spoke about his progress so far on his forthcoming third album, to be titled ’Graduation’.

He told MTV News: “I got ten ideas. I go back and work on ideas and tweak them. I can’t say I’m halfway done. There’s a lot of people I want to work with, a lot of rappers. But I don’t want to give away what I’m going to do. I look at music as a gift. So I’m going to just keep everything under wraps until it’s time.”
