Kanye West completed a hit-laden set at the New York leg of Live Earth this evening at Giant’s Stadium, New Jersey.

Introduced by green activist actress Rosario Dawson, the rapper made his way through his most famous hits including ‘Jesus Walks’, ‘Gold Digger’ and ‘Diamonds From Sierra Leone’, a set not dissimilar to the one he performed at the Concert for Diana at Wembley last week.

West followed performances by AFI, Ludacris, The Dave Matthews Band and Kelly Clarkson all of whom are appealing for public awareness of global warming.

Following West’s performance, Robert Kennedy Jr tool to the stage at Giants Stadium and encouraged the media to focus less on Anna Nicole Smith and Paris Hilton, and more on the issue of climate change.

Cameron Diaz followed Kennedy’s speech introducing one again, Al Gore who introduced New Jersey natives Bon Jovi.

Still to come this evening: Smashing Pumpkins, and The Police.
