Britney Spears 'hasn't had a hit in years' says rapper
While performing at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas last night (September 8), Kanye West said that HE should open tonight's MTV Video Music Awards instead of scheduled headliner Britney Spears.
While singing his hit single 'Can't Tell Me Nothing' for a star-studded crowd including Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, Ashlee Simpson and Pamela Anderson, West changed the lyrics to the end of the song.
"I can't believe she would perform/ She hasn't had a hit record in years," he freestyled. "I gotta get my money right/ Or maybe I gotta get my skin white."
Afterwards, West joked, "That's one angry black man," reported MTV.
