BET reveals Hip-Hop Award nominees

T.I. tops the list, Kanye, 50 Cent also get nods

T.I. earned nine BET (Black Entertainment Television) Hip-Hop Award nominations, it was announced today (September 13).

The ceremony is set to air October 17 at 9:00 pm ET/PT.

The American cable network will honour KRS-One with the “I Am Hip Hop” Icon Award.

They've also teamed up with British MTV Base and 1 Xtra BBC to recognize the best artists on the British urban music scene.

The nominees in major categories are:

50 Cent’s 'I Get Money,'
Chamillionaire feat. Slick Rick’s 'Hip-Hop Police'
Common’s 'The People'
Ludacris featuring Mary J. Blige’s 'Runaway Love'
