Kanye West performed a six song set last night (September 18) in New York City on the eve of his album charting at Number One.

West played a short set for the celeb-packed crowd which included ‘Jesus Walks’, ‘Through The Wire’ and ‘Touch The Sky’, as Beyonce, Jay-Z, P. Diddy, LL Cool J, LA Reid and John Legend cheered him on.

The rapper, who beat 50 Cent’s 'Curtis' to the Number One spot by selling almost one million copies of 'Graduation' last week, earlier walked the red carpet at GQ Magazine’s 50th Anniversaryparty with P. Diddy, LA Reid and Jay-Z, each posing with one finger raised to symbolise West's one million album sales. The official sales actually fell around 43,000 short of a million.

Gene Simmons, James Blunt, Cindy Crawford Chris Robinson also watched, as did Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg and Fred Armisen of Saturday Night Live.

West shyed away from dissing 50 Cent between songs, but he did add the words “50 told me/50 told me” into ‘Stronger’.

He played:

‘Jesus Walks’
‘Through the Wire’
‘Stronger’
‘The Good Life’
‘Can't Tell me Nothing’
‘Touch the Sky’
