Kanye West’s mother Donda West died as a result of complications after surgery at a Los Angeles hospital on Saturday (November 10).

Dr West’s publicist confirmed the news today (November 12) but did not say what West was having done, or how she died.

AAs previously reported, Dr West was an English professor at Chicago State University until 2004, before leaving to work with her son, becoming his manager and CEO of Super Good, the parent company of Kanye West Enterprises.
