Fans at Bonnaroo yesterday (June 15) were so angry at Kanye West for his delayed performance that they scrawled their anger in spraypaint on the portaloos at the site, angrily chanted his name and pelted glowsticks at the stage during the two-hour delay.

West was due to perform at 2.45am yesterday morning but did not emerge on stage until 4.25am.

Messages on the screens told the crowd the show would be delayed until 3.15am and then delayed again until 3.30am, reports the Associated Press.

The crowd repeatedly chanted "Kanye sucks!" during the delay, and today a section of portaloos onsite were spraypainted with the words "Fuck Kanye".

The delay was apparently due to issues setting up the rapper's 'glow in the dark' stage set after a previous delay unloading Pearl Jam's stage. The band had also run over their allocated time by an hour.

However, even with the stage set-up apparently completed at 3.30am, West did not appear for almost another hour.

According to reports, the original schedule had him in an 8.15pm slot but he requested a late-night set.

okie..... so yeah kanye's music is dope! his lyrics are hot and his style is even hotter but his fucking ego is enough to drive me through the roof!! i love kanye however he didnt even acknowledge the fans at bonnaroo.... or shall i say the patiently waiting fans. there were a lot of people taunting him and shouting "kanye sucks" but thats beceause there was no explanation as to why he was late! i mean damn we sat for hours and never even got a "whats up bonnaroo?" or "im sorry man." thats what is mad fucked up!! kanye has never dissapointed me with music at all but his bonnaroo performance was horrible. not just the fact that he was late.... (to me he was worth seeing) but he was off beat, maybe forgot a few lines and that stupid damn spaceship theme was wack!! he just didnt seem too happy to be there. he is a smart intelligent atrist but what in the hell was he thinking?? for you meme1234 you need to open your eyes! bonnaroo is a music and arts festival and is the name of a festival NOT a place! and for 80,000 people to be there... i think it has been heard of! LUPE FIASCO AND TALIB KWELI WERE HOTT! lupe had the best performance there!!

The crowd was never given any explanation as to why Kanye was late. When he did come out to perform he said NOTHING to the crowd. He just confirmed what most of the people there thought of him anyway. Most of the people that WERE there just wanted to see his light show.

First off, meme1234, just to reiterate what everyone else has just told you, Bonnaroo is a 4 day music festival in Manchester, Tennesee. It's not a place, so before you talk out of your ass, make sure you (a) know what you're talking about and (b) have a valid point to make. I am an avid listener of Kanye. I've wanted to go to Bonnaroo for abt 5 years and this year was my first. I was extremely excited that Kanye, Lupe and Talib were all going to be there and can't lie, was hoping there was going to be some kind of collaboration. I guess you're too simple minded to realize that you had to be there to understand.This was not the first time I saw Kanye. I've seen him about 5 times and to tell you the truth, I was disappointed and hurt. There was no acknowledgement of any sort to see the hundreds of people who showed up to see him and waited until the sun literally came up to see him. The show was trash. Kanye is a gifted, talented, and intelligent man. He is one of the best rappers out there, but damn. Could he have possibly put on a crappier show? I understand that it wasn't his usual fan base, but to have the opportunity at one of the biggest music festivals? How often does one get to perform in front of 80,000?Oh and by the way, I'm from New York. We have produced a few of the all time greatest rapper and hip hop artists, Biggie, Jay-Z, NAS, and of course Talib Kweli. Get over yourself and get a fucking map.

Yeah so Kanye West being invited back to Bonnaroo should be a joke. Yes we all had the choice to return to our tents to get some shut eye for the next day but that is not why we made the long haul to see these bands and especially the Headliners. With all the hype about the "light show" time didn't matter at first. However, a light show doesn't really mean much when the sun comes up and everyone at that point had been up for 24 hours. I had to sleep in my car for 3 hours in the A/C so I could get some energy for the rest of the days shows. It was rediculous how there was no interaction with the crowd getting us to believe he really cared about how almost 40,000 still stuck around till the end. He jumped off stage and that was that... What is even worse he doesn't give a shit if we had to wait or not I am sure. I am just pissed at myself for missing the other shows that were going on during the wait because I thought he would be coming out at any moment. Thanks Kanye-what a let down!!!

Alright, so Kanye is a good artist on his CD. That doesn't mean anything when it comes to performing at bonnaroo. Bonnaroo is the most extreme conditions; the fans have been out in 100 degree heat all day. They are all exhausted and by the time night rolls around they are expecting timely, REALLY good shows. I was not there this year, but I can say with great confidence that after being out in the bonnaria for a couple days your patience for a rich pop star like kanye grows smaller by the second. So to you Kanye, you f***** up. You should not have kept the people waiting. While you think you are hot S***, your fame and fortune could come crashing down at any second because of this. Bonnaroo is an amazing place and it seems to be certainly no place for Kanye. As for you MEME, your are an idiot. No bands came out of bonnaroo? You F***tard. Radiohead was there in 2006. They are bigger than Kanye will ever be.
