The plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother just before she died last year has been arrested in California on suspicion of drunk driving.

Jan Adams was reportedly seen entering a freeway in Vallejo in the wrong direction when police pulled him over.

It turned out he was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI, reports the Associated Press.

Adams performed a procedure on Donda West the day before her death last autumn, which was likely caused by surgical complications combined with heart disease.

He was already being investigated to determine whether his medical license should be revoked due to two prior alcohol-related arrests.
