Kanye, NERD, Wyclef for Democratic Convention

Plus a string of stars will come out for Obama

Kanye West, N.E.R.D and Wyclef Jean are set to perform in support of Barack Obama at the forthcoming Democratic national convention.

The acts will take to the stage at the event in Denver, CO which begins Monday August 25, and will be joined by a string of Hollywood stars who will also show up to support the Democratic presidential candidate.

Actors Scarlett Johannson, Ben Affleck, Forrest Whitaker, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Ed Norton are all slated to come out to back Obama over the four-day event which will also see a party for Bono’s ONE campaign, according to the Washington Post.

Many musicians from REM’s Michael Stipe to Dave Matthews have already voiced their support for Barack Obama in the race for the US president.
