Kanye West has claimed that the MTV Europe Music Awards, which took place in Liverpool on November 6, were fixed.
The rapper claimed that he only won the Ultimate Urban award over Lil Wayne because he was present at the bash – and suggested that he was undeserving of the prize.
West also questioned Britney Spears' win over Rihanna in the Act Of 2008 category.
"I won nothing last year and I'd brought out 'Stronger'," he told The Sun. "This year, just because I was there, I won. This was Lil Wayne's year.
"Britney Spears over Rihanna? Are you serious?"
Rick Astley, who had a string of hits in the '80s, was surprisingly named Best Act Ever at the ceremony, pipping the likes of U2, Spears and Green Day to the gong.
