Kanye West has become a design judge, after been approached by Wallpaper*.
The rapper-producer was on the panel for the magazine's prestigious Design Awards, which features in its current issue.
Explaining why they approached West to be on the panel with architects, fashion icons and film industry designers, Wallpaper* editor-in-chief, Tony Chambers told NME.COM: "He's the most visually literate, design conscious musician of our generation. His blog informs and entertains a whole new demographic.
"As Kanye said about contemporary design when we asked him to be a judge: 'OK, great, I'm down!!! this is my kind of shit! It cuts my soul...in a good way!!!'."
A party celebrating this year's awards takes place on January 22 in Paris. For more on the awards and the winners head to Wallpaper.com now.
