Kanye West is scheduled to perform on the hit television series 'American Idol' on Wednesday (March 11).

The rap star is set to appear alongside Kelly Clarkson, who won the very first season of 'American Idol'. Their performance is slated to air during this week's elimination show.

West will perform his recent hit song 'Heartless', while Clarkson plans to perform 'My Life Would Suck Without You', from her album that's due out tomorrow, reports the Associated Press.

Previous 'American Idol' performers have included Prince, Gwen Stefani and Dolly Parton.
