Kanye West pleads not guilty to battery and theft charges
Charges relate to scuffle at Los Angeles airport last year
Kanye West has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanour charges relating to an incident that took place at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) last year.
West's attorney, Blair Berk entered the not-guilty plea to the misdemeanour charges in a Los Angeles court on Friday (May 15). The rap star was not present when the plea was entered, reports the Associated Press.
West was arrested and charged with misdemeanour battery, grand theft and vandalism for allegedly breaking a paparazzo's camera equipment when leaving the airport on September 11.
The next hearing on the matter is set to take place on July 15 in Los Angeles.
