Kanye West has pushed back the release of his new G.O.O.D. Music compilation by two weeks.

The album is titled 'Cruel Summer' and will feature all acts signed to West's label including Mr Hudson, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Kid Cudi, Big Sean as well as the rapper himself.

It was previously supposed to come out in early August and was then delayed until September 4. It has now been put back again until September 18.

By way of explanation for the delay, G.O.O.D. Music member Malik Yusef took to Twitter and said that the wait has been caused by the introduction of four new features to the album, including a contribution from Mos Def.

He tweeted: "Yeah it looks like a push back on #CruelSummer, but our wish has 4 additional features has MOSt DEFinitely been granted."

An experimental 30-minute film inspired album, which is also titled 'Cruel Summer' made its debut in Cannes earlier this year. The film, which was projected onto seven screens inside a pyramid-shaped tent, stars Kid Cudi as a car thief who falls in love with a blind Arabian princes.

You can see the album's artwork at the top of the screen.
