Kanye West's rumoured 'Cruel Winter' album has been denied by G.O.O.D. Music member Common.

The rap megastar's most recent project saw him team up with signings to his G.O.O.D. Music label for the concept album 'Cruel Summer'. Rumours of a follow-up in time with the change in seasons have been rife, but have so far remained rumours.

Now, Common has stated that the album will remain on the back burner as the members of the label work on their own solo material. Speaking to Vulture
he said: "Oh, yeah, nah, nah. I don’t think that’s happening. It was more of a rumour - cats been creating, but everybody’s been doing their solo album. So that’s what that is."

Common's quotes contradict what fellow G.O.O.D. Music member Big Sean previously revealed in an interview with DJ Semtex
recorded a track for inclusion on 'Cruel Winter'. But like 'Clique', the breakout track from 'Cruel Summer', he had wanted to keep it for his own forthcoming second album 'Hall Of Fame: Memoirs Of A Detroit Player'.

He said: "Oh God. Swerve. Yeah, you're gonna get it," but added that that he has no idea when the record will be released: "I don't know about that. You gotta wait and see man, I don't know. It can't be 'Cruel Spring'. It's gotta be in a timely fashion. I know I did something for it, for 'Cruel Winter', and I was like 'Godammit, I need to cut this for my album because it's really good'.

"But either way, that's how 'Clique' was, 'Clique' was supposed to be for my album and ended up going on 'Cruel Summer'. I was like 'Godammit'. I'm still on a song with Jay-Z and Kanye, but it originally was going to be my first single for my next album. We got so many singles that it doesn't even matter."

Rapper Q-Tip has also previously stated that 'Cruel Winter' is happening.
