Will Smith and Kanye West this week visited a studio in Rio to record together.

According to The Sun, the two rappers spent time together at the carnival in the city. The two headed to a local studio, where, claims owner, DJ Batutinha, they recorded a Latin-inspired track.

"Kanye was keen to get to learn more about the funk in Rio and a DJ friend of mine referred him to me," says Batutinha. "Will and him went to the studio to get to know the sound of the funk better. They thought we could all work out something together and launch this new project." The DJ and producer reports that the pair plan to finish the song together in the US.

Kanye West today (February 15) announced a second intimate London date on February 24. Tickets for the first show, on February 24, sold out almost instantly when they went on general sale this morning.

West's appearances at Hammersmith Apollo will be his first since touring the UK with Jay-Z on the Watch The Throne tour in 2012. The duo played their joint album across arenas and also headlined Radio 1's Hackney Weekender in east London last May.
