Kanye West has revealed the artwork for his forthcoming new album 'Yeezus'.

Yesterday (May 31), the rapper confirmed via Twitter that the minimalist design, which is pictured above and shows just a clear CD case and a red sticker with the album's title scrawled on it, was the official artwork for the LP.

There has been much speculation in recent weeks about 'Yeezus'' artwork, with recent reports (May 30) suggesting that a picture of West nailed to a cross would adorn the front of the record. But yesterday (May 31), DJ Semtex posted an image of the artwork on his blog, accompanied by the message: "Forgot everything else you have seen, this is the official artwork. No cover, no booklet, just a sticker on the reverse of the package with the tracklist."

As Pitchfork reports, West's record label Def Jam later confirmed that the picture was the official artwork, and the image has now been posted on his official website Kanyewest.com. Pitchfork also claims that visitors to the site who roll their cursor over the artwork will hear a snippet of a new song by the rapper, titled 'Bound', which could feature on the LP.

'Yeezus' will be West's sixth solo LP and is reportedly set for release on June 18. Collaborators apparently set to appear on the record include Frank Ocean, Daft Punk, Skrillex, Tyler The Creator, RZA, James Blake, John Legend, Jay Electronica, Travi$ Scott, Chief Keef and Ma$e.

West recently premiered new single 'New Slaves' by projecting the video on buildings across the world. The promo was screened in 10 cities including Sydney, London, Paris, Berlin and numerous locations in North America. The rapper previously played a brand new song called 'I Am A God' at the Met Gala in New York on May 6.
