Kanye West is reported to have called the Kardashian family "the most remarkable people of our time" after marrying Kim Kardashian in Florence.

During his 20-minute wedding speech, West called his bride "ideal art" and "the ideal celebrity", according to E! News. He added that the Kardashian family are "an industry".

West is also reported to have used the speech to attack celebrity culture, apparently saying: "People feel it's OK to put you on the tabloid covers to sell your image, to use you in a Saturday Night Live spoof. But we don't negotiate. We're not like that. We're not stupid."

The couple, whose daughter North was born in June 2013, are now on honeymoon at a private estate in Munster in the Republic of Ireland. It's believed they will spend a day in Dublin visiting Ireland's most famous tourist attractions before returning to the US on Friday (May 30).

The wedding at the 16th Century Belvedere fort on Saturday reportedly saw non-uniformed militia from the Italian army drafted in to provide security for the couple and their 3,000 guests.

West is said to be releasing a new album this summer, with producers including Rick Rubin, Q-Tip and Mike Will Made It having confirmed they're working with the rapper on the follow-up to 2013's 'Yeezus'.

Earlier this week (May 26), West debuted new song 'God Level' in an advert for Adidas' World Cup campaign.
