Kanye West has said that he believes he is on a "mission from God".

Speaking to Power 106 FM - via Digital Spy - the rapper delivered a message to his critics, commenting:

"Don't worry about how I'm saying what I'm saying. Look at what I'm saying and how I feel my intent is. You do not want to go against the power. I'm working on one mission, and that's a mission from God. I'm gonna make it very clear exactly what I'm here to do. I'm here to help. I'm going to apply all the blessings I've got."

On Friday night (June 20) Kanye West made a surprise appearance in New York, performing a short set during a stand-up show by comedian Dave Chappelle. Chappelle is currently performing a series of comeback gigs at Radio City Music Hall in the US city and was joined by West, who performed a three song set of 'New Slaves', 'Jesus Walks' and 'Gold Digger'. Chappelle is playing a nine-date stint at Radio City Hall and will be joined by a number of musical guests throughout his stay. Already-announced guests include Nas, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Janelle Monáe, and Erykah Badu.
