The band celebrate their imminent chart storming in style...

KASABIAN played a triumphant show to a packed out audience at the LONDON BARFLY last night (August 12) – on the eve of their biggest ever chart hit.

Arriving onstage to a rapturous reception, lead singer Tom Meighan shouted: "Camden we don’t give a fuck," before tearing into a set which included singles ‘Club Foot’, ’LSF’, album track’Cutt Off’ And live favourite ’55’.

Speaking about the show guitarist Sergio Pizzorno told NME.COM: "Camden is a very cool place and we are not. We are just a fucking band that make music. I like to come to this place and say this is what it is all about. It ain’t about your fucking haircut, your shoes or your fucking clothes. Its about making music people want and it doesn’t matter who the fuck you are, there is no clique."

With a recent upsurge in the popularity of British bands, Kasabian look set to break into the top ten this weekend with their single ’LSF’.

The band have just returned from a successful tour in Japan where they were mobbed by their adoring fans.

"We literally just got off the plane and it was mental out there. It was almost like Beatlemania in some ways. We were running out of fire exits trying to escape from screaming girls," Sergio said.

Kasabian play the forthcoming V Festival (August 21-22 ) and the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals on the Bank Holiday weekend (Aug 27-29).
