Kasabian have announced plans for a pre-Glastonbury charity warm up show.

The Leicester five-piece are to appear at Newport Centre in South Wales on June 21.

The gig, which is in aid of teenage cancer sufferers, comes off the back their recent Teenage Cancer Trust gig at London's Royal Albert Hall last month.

“It’s great we can support Teenage Cancer Trust and help them make a difference," said singer Tom Meighan. "After meeting some of the teenagers with cancer at the Albert Hall gig, it really made us want to do more and this show will help the cause, we hope to do more with TCT in the future.”

All proceeds from the concert, which comes a day before Glastonbury kicks off, will go towards building the TCT's first Welsh unit at the University Hospital of Wales.
