Band will appear at Edinburgh's New Year's Eve party
Kasabian will headline the Hogmanay event at Edinburgh’s Concert In The Gardens on New Year's Eve.
They will be supported onstage in Princes Street Gardens by Idlewild.
The Concert In The Gardens is the highlight of Edinburgh's Hogmanay.
Singer Tom Meighan said: "It is an honour to be asked to play Hogmanay this year.
"Scotland is always a special place to play and New Year's Eve will be even more special. We promise."
Pete Irvine, director of Edinburgh's Hogmanay producer Unique Events, said: "We're delighted we've got another strong line-up for the Concert In The Gardens.
"Although we've altered the formula a bit from previous years, there's no question the Gardens will rock."
The rest of the line-up for the concert and the other artists who will be performing at the Ceilidh In The Gardens and Edinburgh's Hogmanay Street Party are due to be announced in the coming days, reports BBC News.
