Kasbian play new songs at Creamfields
Plus Ian Brown and The Gossip draw huge crowds
Opening with 'Shoot The Runner' and climaxing with 'L.S.F', the Leicester troupe also showcased two new songs and a played brief cover of The Source's 1991 house hit 'You Got The Love'.
The two new songs consisted of 'Fire', a bluesy crowd-pleaser with a high-octane chorus, and 'Fast Fuse', which also went down well.
Frontman Tom Meighan was characteristically vocal throughout the set, swaggering around the stage and regularly gearing the crowd up with banter such as: "Come on you fucking ravers, let's see you!"
Kasabian played:
'Shoot The Runner'
'Sun/Rise/Light/Flies'
'Cutt Off'
'Processed Beats'
'By My Side'

At the same time as Kasabian's set legendary trance DJ Tiesto had packed the Cream tent out to capacity, with many revellers resorting to dancing outside the tent.
During the day the likes of Hercules And Love Affair and Late Of The Pier played sets alongside dance DJs Paul Oakenfold and David Guetta, continuing Creamfields' tradition of putting established dance acts alongside unconventional choices.
Previously Saturday (August 23rd) headliner Fatboy Slim had rounded off the first day at the bash, which took place near Liverpool, with a greatest hits set that saw him beaming throughout as he ran through hits such as 'Praise You' and 'Right Here, Right Now'.
DJ-ing in front of a huge screen backdrop, which featured impressive visuals alongside clips of his videos, he sampled songs such as Arcade Fire's 'No Cars Go', The Rolling Stones' 'No Satisfaction' and Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip's 'Thou Shalt Always Kill', which culminated in the line: "Fatboy Slim, just a band" repeated over and over again by the ecstatic crowd.
He climaxed the set with a funked-up version of John Paul Young's 1977 song 'Love is in the Air'.
Earlier on the first day Ian Brown packed out the Chikuku tent and 's Beth Ditto threw impressive shapes on stage, despite the rain.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, this year’s bash was the first time Creamfields ran over two days and included the option to camp, with 86 percent of attendees choosing to do so.
