Kasabian planning 'surprise guest' for Glastonbury Festival - exclusive
Plus Sergio Pizzorno declares it an honour to 'open up for The Boss'
The band play the Pyramid Stage just ahead of Bruce Springsteen, and guitarist Sergio Pizzorno has exclusively revealed that the band hope to have a unique onstage collaboration.
"I think we're going to have a little guest onstage," he explained. "Subject to said guest not getting out of it and orbiting Saturn when we're onstage."
The guitarist added that he felt this year's festival could be a special one for the band.
"I can't wait. I don't want to jinx it, you never know especially in a band like ours, we are a rock 'n' roll outfit, but I've got a really good feeling about Saturday," he declared. ""It would be fucking great. It will be quite an evening I think."
He added: "I'm really looking forward to playing before The Boss, it makes you raise your game, because he is – and I think the word gets used too much but he is one – a legend. You really want to set things up for him, just think how amazing his set is going to be, so we’re going to pull out all the stops before his set, hopefully we’ll surprise a few of his fans.
"Glastonbury has always been good to us as a band. I think because people are perhaps a bit more open, they’re up for seeing all sorts of music, they don’t worry so much about genres. They’re wandering around watching everything, and whereas they might not come to one of gigs, they see us and are surprised by what we can do."
