Kasabian have announced a UK arena tour for this winter.

The band, fresh from their triumph at Glastonbury 2009, will hit the road in November.

Speaking about the shows, Sergio Pizzorno told NME.COM that the band hoped to plan something special and claimed that, despite stepping up the size of the venues they are playing, fans would not be left out.

"We won't be coming out of alien pods, nothing like that going down, but I've read about famous Pink Floyd shows so maybe something like that," he said.

"Nothing retro, modern in its thinking, but in my head at this point I want to have something that's unique. We can make the arenas feel intimate because it's so important the crowd are in the mix, they're our orchestra!"

Kasabian will play:

Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (November 10)
Aberdeen AECC (11)
Glasgow SECC (12)
London Wembley Arena (14)
Liverpool Echo Arena (16)
Nottingham Trent FM Arena (18)
Birmingham NIA (19)
Manchester MEN (20)
Cardiff International Arena (22)
Sheffield Arena (23)
