Kasabian have been put into quarantine after frontman Tom Meighan was diagnosed with swine flu.
The singer was taken to hospital after travelling from Japan to Australia on the band's current world tour.
The rest of the band are currently confined to their hotel rooms in Sydney.
"We're all sick as dogs, man. It's pretty terrible. It's a bit of a virus that we picked up in Japan. It's so tough," guitarist Sergio Pizzorno told The Sun's Bizzare column.
"I am confined to my hotel room and I look out and see the Opera House and the harbour, and so want to be out there in it all."
The band have cancelled several Australian shows, but are confident they will be able to hit the road again in Malaysia this weekend (August 15 and 16).
"The doctor says it will take a couple of days and we need to stay in our rooms and chill," added Pizzorno. "But we hope to be rocking and rolling very quickly. It's what we're on the road to do."
