Kasabian have announced that they have recorded a version of new single 'Days Are Forgotten' with LL Cool J.

The bizarre collaboration, which will be released as the B-side to the band's single on September 11 along with another previously unreleased track 'Pistols At Dawn'.

According to the band, the collaboration came together after the rapper heard the track and loved it. He then got in touch with the band to record the alternate version.

'Days Are Forgotten' precedes the Leicester band's fourth studio album 'Velociraptor!', which is released on September 19.

Guitarist Serge Pizzorno has previously said that the band's new album is very different to their previous release, 2009's 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'.

He told NME: "It's heavier than I thought it would be. It squares up to you and doesn't leave you alone. It's really in your face. It's a real jukebox album, just tune after tune, with really strong verses and really strong choruses."
