Kasabian and Ed Harcourt have contributed tracks to a forthcoming Xbox 360 video game.

The Leicester's band's breakthrough single 'Club Foot' and the London songwriter's track 'Me Watching The Sun Come Up' will feature on the action horror shooter Alan Wake's American Nightmare.

The downloadable shooter, which follows the 2010 game Alan Wake, will be released as part of the XBLA House Party from February 15, reports VG247.com.

Kasabian recently posted a demo of a joke song - 'Table Tennis Boom Box' - via their website, Kasabianlive.com.

Apparently recorded live backstage at the Yokohama Blitz venue in Yokohama, Japan, the short acoustic track was posted during the band's current Japanese tour.

Earlier this month frontman Tom Meighan insisted that there is a "drought" of rock'n'roll bands in the charts. He added: "There's a rock 'n' roll drought at the moment, so I'm glad we're here. People are frightened of making records that sound good on the radio."

The frontman also claimed that Kasabian were "an albums band now" and were no longer interested in releasing "big hit singles".
