Kasabian, New Order, Example, Bloc Party to headline Ibiza and Majorca Rocks 2012

Ed Sheeran, Kaiser Chiefs and Two Door Cinema Club are also on the bill for 16-week season of summer gigs

Kasabian, New Order, Bloc Party and Two Door Cinema Club are among the acts announced to headline this year's Ibiza Rocks and Majorca Rocks.

Other acts on the bill include Kaiser Chiefs, Ed Sheeran, Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, Chase and Status, and Example.

Sheeran will kick off Majorca Rocks on June 5 and Ibiza Rocks the following night, with both shows taking place in the grounds of the hotels.

Kasabian, fresh from winning Best British Band at the NME Awards, will also play Majorca Rocks' second birthday on July 10 and Ibiza Rocks' seventh birthday party the following night. The 16-week-long event will close on September 18-19 with Two Door Cinema Club, who recently wrapped up a headline stint on the NME Awards Tour. Further acts will be confirmed in the coming days.

Last year's event was headlined by Biffy Clyro, Plan B and Katy B.
