Kasabian: 'We took all the drugs we could get our hands on' Kasabian Tickets
Band say they now live a different lifestyle after having had children

Kasabian have admitted they took all the drugs they could get their hands on during the early days of the band.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno told The Sunday Times Magazine that he was convinced their fame wouldn't last after they signed a record deal in 2002, so they decided to make the most of the party lifestyle: "We did just about everything we could get our hands on. Pills, coke, weed, booze. There was no tomorrow," he said.
However, Pizzorno added that the band never took heroin. "We never got into smack," he said. "I've always thought that was not a good idea... We never fell into a position where we looked around the room and went, 'Who are these people?'"
Lead singer Tom Meighan explained that because he and Serge both have young children they live a very different lifestyle now, saying: "We're more disciplined. We've done it all haven't we? We don't gain anything from it any more... It was great to do all the clichéd stuff."
Meighan recently revealed that the band's next album will be "really dark and leftfield" and that although the album is a long way off being released they have already written plenty of material.
Kasabian were voted best band at this year's T in the Park by NME.COM readers after their headline performance. They will play a warm-up gig in London on August 20 before they headline Reading and Leeds Festivals on August 25 and 26.
